The Connection Between Blastoff and Pre-Paid Legal

If you’ve ever been to a Blastoff Portal yet, at least before it’s October 12th pre-launch date, all of the portals so far have a huge square ad on the upper right-hand side for Pre-Paid Legal services, which is a direct sales company selling legal services on a pre-pay basis.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientists to see that there is some kind of connection between the two companies, so today I thought I’d explain exactly how the two are related.
Pre-Paid Legal has been around since 1972, and to date it’s been very successful, as far as any network marketing company (a.k.a. direct sales or MLM) goes. It’s even traded on the NYSE as PPD, which is doing great these days. Meanwhile Blastoff, which started out totally unrelated, was building its’ portal a couple of years ago when it met with Pre-Paid Legal representatives to talk about a possible synergistic partnership.
What Blastoff could bring to the table was obvious; the perfect platform to make every home page in the world theirs, which means the most valuable online real-estate on the web.
What Blastoff needed, however, was a way to distribute it quickly. Very quickly, before a competitor could copy and start to compete with it themselves. It wouldn’t be the first time this has happened.
That’s where Pre-Paid Legal (PPL) fits in, they have a huge network of associates that would be more than happy to spread the word about Blastoff. -In exchange for some of that valuable real estate:

This deal was struck to give all PPL associates access to Blastoff early and they’ve had it since September 13th, 2009. Since then they’ve all been rushing to get their existing PPL downlines into their Blastoff downlines and gathering their other lists of mailing addresses to start pushing it to the world on October 12th.
As of October 12th, PPL associates will have an advantages, especially since they are preparing for the push in advance. That is why we signed up with PPL, so that we could get this advance push time ourselves.
For the 14 days between October 12th and October 27th, anyone receiving an email invite from a PPL associate, or someone they recruited, can become a member and send invites to members themselves.
After this time three other organizations, the United Way, Pizza Hut, and the Dallas Cowboys all get similar deals of exclusivity from Blastoff too, but of course the cat is already out of the bag, at least as far as the email invites go.
Meanwhile, for coordinating this huge Launch on the 12th, Blastoff is giving PPL a huge gift of a link on every page, presumably forever, that looks like this:
This large link on the front of EVERY Blastoff portal is going to bring PPL a lifetime of free traffic that is roughly equivalent to purchasing the #3 AdWords spot from google… For every search term ever made!
All in all, I’d say it’s a match made in heaven, and both companies are going to do very, very well for this deal. If there was any doubt that PPL had enough exposure to become the #1 direct sales company of all time, that worry can be put to bed, and trampled on now. And if there was any worry that Blastoff could get enough initial momentum to go fully world-wide viral, PPL, all of you, and even Pizza Hut, the United Way, and the Dallas Cowboys will all ensure that this awesome portal is going to be the #1 most viewed web page online.
Since it will best operate as a home page, the collective portals of all Blastoff members should easily outpace YouTube, Yahoo, Facebook, and even Google as the #1 site online by the end of the year.
