Restitution for PPL Blastoff Members

Recently Blastoff Network CEO William Rodgers was put between a rock and a hardplace when he was forced to delay the exclusive PPL pre-launch date ten days, but Pizza Hut would not delay their launch schedule.

The end result is that many PPL members feel that they were promised 14 days, but only delivered 5 days of pre-launch exclusivity. Now Pizza Hut is blasting out web ads, and worse, pizza-top box flyers to all of their customers.

I couldn’t confirm any of this in my earlier post about Pizza Hut, that is, until now. Yesterday, CEO Rodgers, now out of the hospital after having a kidney stone removed, responded to concerns on the Blastoff internal help forum about exactly this issue:

The Pizza Hut launch was a tricky issue for us. When we postponed the PPL launch the 2nd time we were able to push our other marketing partners as well as our own public launch back to accommodate the the PPL 2 week exclusive. Unfortunately we were told by Pizza Hut that they already had print ads that were in cycle that could not be stopped. We immediately informed PPL of this and have agreed to run additional PPL Business Opportunity advertisements on all Blastoff Home Pages as a concession.

So, the questions now become for PPL members; are these PPL BizOpp ads worth it? How many more, and do they even convert well?

The 5 days we received to exclusively promote was, in all honesty, enough to send out invites to all of our existing prospects. Even with the email invite system issues during the first few days.

The real thing that we PPL members gave up is about 9 days of reaching out to new prospects. Time we could have used to pass out flyers & cards, place ads online and in newsletters, and so forth.

For those who would not have spent money and considerable time to gain more downline members, the result is very positive for you. You’re going to get more online exposure than ever before now, and you have lost nothing because you admittedly would not have used that extra 9 days to your advantage.

It’s only those of us who are actively promoting Blastoff in many different ways that were wronged. Hopefully Mr. Rodgers can see this, the fact that this snafu has taken away from the people who are working the hardest for him.

I, for one, hold out hope that the extra PPL bizopp banner displays across all Blastoff pages will help bring in enough new PPL downline members for it to be worth our loss. It would be very nice to hear the number of extra displays, of course.

Blastoff is still the most awesome income opportunity of our day and I wouldn’t trade my blastoff page for any other home page online. I have faith that this little hiccup will turn out well for us in the end, and that Mr. Rodgers will work further to set things right.

Agree with your post today, however, we really did not receive 5 full trouble free days. I can’t tell you how much time I have spent in the last 2 weeks working with my own and my downline to get them up and running to no serious success.

We have been extremely committed to this project but for the sake of income we have had to stop our efforts. The return has not yet been promising enough to warrant the significant time commitment and training. What amazes me is that some of the people that signed up for my Blastoff site still continue to go directly to the website opting out of the cash back option. I am scratching my head on that one.

I certainly hope that this turns out to be a positive program to assist in making money, however, I do not believe it will turn out like it was presented at the Las Vegas conference.

Thanks for dropping by, Keith, I know it must have been hard getting out of trick-or-treating ‘door’ duty. :)

I have certainly noticed a few things Blastoff could have done better for it’s PPL members, but I’m certianly not deterred at all.

I didn’t attend Vegas nor hear any of the promises made there. In fact I only joined PPL recently after hearing about the deal they had with Blastoff.

20 Levels is just a spectacular thing to have under you in any organization. 20 Levels deep has the potential to make you as rich as Bill Gates himself… PPL membership sales is all just gravy on top of that for me.
