We have put together many common questions below that have been answered by Blastoff CEO William Rodgers during prelaunch. If you have a general questions you’d like to get answered, please use our contact page here to send it to us, and we’ll do our best to have it answered by the right person.

Question 1: “Will our downline Blastoff members be able to have their friends join their Blastoff network prior to the October 26th public launch even if they are NOT PPL Associates?”

Yes, when invitations are turned on, October 12th, any Blastoff members including those that are not PPL Associates will be able to send invitations.

Question 2: “You said that that members can send 250 email invitations at a time through Blastoff. Is this per day or per upload? How will we upload our contacts? If it is an email, what will it say and can we see a sample?”

On October 12th, the “Invite Friends” button will be activated. You can locate this button on your Blastoff homepage. It is in the top panel area, beside an orange button. The Invite Friends area will provide you a tool to upload your contact information from your personal email accounts. Once inside the tool, you will be able to select from 4-5 email templates to send to potential Blastoff
members. The tool will also allow you to see who has been sent invitations, who has accepted and who hasn’t.
You may have 250 invitations open at a given time. As invitations are accepted or removed, you will be able to add the same amount of new invitations to your list. For example, you can load 250 invitation on October 12th. 25 of the 250 accept your invitation on the same day. You are now able to add 25 new invitations to your list.

Question 3:  “How private or public is our personal info on the Blastoff page?”

Your personal information is maintained behind a login process to keep it private. You will notice that your homepage options will change depending on whether you are logged in or logged out. The logged in status allows you to view and edit your information as well as maintain contacts and your shopping rewards. The logged out status does not give you or anyone else access to this information.

Question 4: “Which browser versions does Blastoff support?”

Currently Firefox, Internet Explorer 6 or above, and Safari are supported. If you have an older version of IE, you can download the latest version from Microsoft.com without cost.

Question 5: “Will Blastoff have a search engine?”

A search engine has been requested and is on the list of future enhancements for the site. As of October 5th, we currently have no ETA.

Question 6: “Can purchases be made on Blastoff already to receive cash back or will that only be available when it fully launches?”

Yes, purchases can be made as soon as you activate your site. Your rewards for shopping (commissions) can take up to 10 days to display, at least until full launch.

Question 7: “Can kids 13 to 17 accumulate commissions and be paid when they turn 18?”

No, not currently. Kids 13 to 17 can have a Blastoff account but they cannot earn or accumulate commissions until they turn 18.

Question 8: “How does the pay for college program work.”

The college savings plan is not yet currently in place. Blastoff is considering adding the ability for kids between 13 and 17 to accumulate commissions into a college fund sometime in 2010. We do not have any further details on this area at this time. Most likely a 529 savings account plan.

Question 9: “I have contacts in Outlook as well as Facebook and Myspace, is there going to be a way to get them on our blastoff site where you would maybe copy and paste them?”

Yes, these and many more will all be included in the instructions inside Blastoff.

Question 10: “Are email addresses that we send out via invitations kept private from
others view?” “How private or public is our list of contacts within Blastoff?”

Yes, the personal information of others who are invited is kept confidential. The personal information of your contacts is private. No one else will be able to access your list of contacts.
